Newsletter Week 36

Well another transfer is come and gone and my sweet companion, Hermana
Reese is leaving the area. I'm super sad.. She was awesome. But i
actually already know who my new companion is going to be.. So the
deal is..well our mission went from like 270 missionaries in our
mission when I got here to about 180 missionaries now. So in the area
of Louetta, where I am currently serving they had 3 pairs of
missionaries... Last transfer they took one pair out, and this
transfer they are taking another pair out, so our split area of
Louetta is now becoming one HUGE area.. And I am staying with one of
the missionaries from the other area and we are moving to their
apartments... And now the area of what 6 missionaries used to do is
getting done by me and my new comp hermana Dryden.. I am kinda
stressed about that... But hey we got it:) we will never be bored
right..haha
But this week has been really good! We got a 2 new awesome
investigators with baptismal dates for July 25... It is a mom and her
11 year old son.. The only thing is is that the dad isn't quite on
board yet with letting them.. But she said that she thinks he will
soften with time. But keep them in your prayers please!!:)
Well I love you all and hope you have a great week!! My new address is:

Newsletter Week 35

Hey! So this week was a ton better! We had a ton of miracles, the lord
blessed us more than we deserve:)

We had the baptism of sweet Felipe this weekend, he is 10 years old
and is so stinkin smart! He was really fun to teach, one of the
brothers in the ward baptized him. So that was a great day:)

Then Sunday was also awesome! 7 of our investigators came to church!!
It was a huge blessing:) and then later on Sunday one of our
appointments fell through, so we decided to go contacting in an
apartment complex, so we got our 15 contacts me when we were heading
to leave sister Reese got the feeling that we should go visit an
inactive that lives in that apartment complex, we knocked on the door,
and to our surprise she let us in. When we walked in she started
crying, turns out that she is going through some really hard health
problems. She opened up to us and we read some scriptures and watched
the Mormon message "Alto me Eleva" I don't know what it is in
English... But that video really helped her.

That was really one of the best experiences in my mission, I know that the Lord guided us to
that door and that she needed us that night. I love being a tool for
the Lord! This gospel is incredible:) I love you all! Have a great week :)

Newsletter Week 34

Hey! I hope you are all doing great, this was another little on the
rougher side weeks.. But hey you can't enjoy the sun without a little
rain right!?!?

So we had a ton of appointments set up from the beginning of this
week... But because the weather has cleared up everyone is working
overtime and canceled their appointments... So it was a super dead
week. But hey next week can only go up from here right?

Well I love you all and hope you are having a great week.

Love, Hermana Parslow

Newsletter Week 33

Hey ya'll! How is it going?

Shout out to my sis for having a healthy happy little boy! :)

This week started out really rough, all of our appointments were falling through, no one we contacted into was interested and I was getting discouraged. But I was reading in the scriptures how God gives us weaknesses to help us be humble. In Jacob it says

"Nevertheless, the Lord God showeth us our weakness that we may know that it is by his grace, and his great condescensions unto the children of men, that we have power to do these things."

I'm grateful for that rough patch to help remind me that all success that I have as a missionary is from the Lord, it is not by my own doing.. because I was doing everything the same the week before, and it was great!

I know that the Lord is the giver of all blessings. I love you guys and hope you are all enjoying your summer! Have a great week! :)

Newsletter Week 32

So this week flew by!! It has been crazy! Louetta is a huge ward, a lot different from Waller, but I love it here:)

We had a huge miracle this week! So we got a referral from a guy in Utah who's friends cousin lives here and that he might be interested in the Gospel. So we contacted him, he came to church the first week, we had 2 lessons with him, he cam to church again yesterday and now he is getting baptized on the 13 of June!!! He is sooo prepared for this gospel. I feel so excited and blessed to be able to work with him.

The work here is great! I love you all! Oh and ps... if you want to be the missionaries best friends... do your visiting teaching:) haha but really Visiting Teaching is soo important and helps bring so many people back into the gospel:) I love you all! Have a great week!
